Some may wear their heart on their sleeve some keep it under lock and key,
I find it hard for me to give up without a fight.
It may hurt to say goodbye you’ll never know unless you try,
sometimes its better to fail than to only assume that you might.

This precious gift from God was meant to last but now it seems as if it’s going fast,
how much time before He pulls the plug? What will be found when He lifts the rug
And I wonder, how the sun will shine, tomorrow thru the rain,
and I wonder, if it’s not too late, for us to make a change
No one thinks they fill that poison cup, but at their door is where it might show up.
And no one cares unless it’s at their door, lets not search for blame, lets find a cure

Who is in control of this rain of apathy?
Has it been us or someone we don’t know?

The Road Less Traveled
Although we take the road less traveled
to reach our destination, we will not fail

Power of Prayer
When I was small I’d bow my head, before mother tucked me into bed.
I’d get down on my knees to pray, that everything would be okay
I’d pray for children with no food, I’d pray for peace and brotherhood.
I’d pray that someday I’d be strong, and change the things I knew were wrong
So now I’m strong but still can’t change, the things that have been prearranged.
And all that I can do is try, and fight for what I know is right.
And for the rest, I must believe, and trust the higher power than me.
And to face the things I can not bear, I’ll call upon the power of prayer
Give me the strength to change the things that I must change.
Give me the courage to accept the things that must stay the same.
Give me the wisdom to know between the two.
Give me the faith to place my growing trust in you
through the power of prayer
I thank you mother for this gift, and every spirit it will lift.
As I look back it’s plain to see the effect these words have had on me:

Turning back the pages of my life, I see some things were never meant to last.
